24/04/11: London’s hedonistic homos went into hyperspace as promoter Logan rocked back for a bank holiday ‘Blast Off’ edition of the SuperMartxé spectacular on Easter Sunday.
Featuring a monumental meltdown of galaxy-busting starship trooper action at London’s cavernous new mega-venue, Pulse, a night of out-of-this-world antics included space cadet DJ brilliance, top class production and a futuristic crowd of party lovers ready to stomp it to the dawn. Two rooms of astounding sounds saw Madrid maestro DJ Vitti getting progressive with gravity defying house beats on the main floor alongside hot stud DJ Aron, with more to come from Tony English, plus a dazzling laser and light show that had an ocean of hands rising to the heavens.
Next door, Jamie Hammond let rip with a comet trail of funkin’ underground beats and vocal classics before the action moved back to the main room as sci-fi queen Nalaya took to the stage, backed by a Barbarella-meets-Bladerunner styled SuperMartxé dance crew for a glitztastic live show. And as the pumpin’ party atmosphere hit warp speed, there were still hours more rocket-boosted antics to come at one of the biggest bashes on the planet!
