23/04/11: A beefed-up crowd of hunks got down with the Easter vibe as promoter Mark Ames pulled out all the stops for a supercharged ‘Playbear Mansion’ bash last Saturday.
Featuring all our fave XXL antics, and a whole lot more, an epic cast of hirsute he-men, gruff geezers and burly bunny boyz packed out the Arcadia arches for one of the biggest XXL parties we’ve seen in recent months. Highlights included Christian M and Mark Logan slamming down a non-stop soundtrack of dancefloor classics in the totally heaving main room as we found ourselves cast helplessly adrift in a swirling sea of hot, sweaty bodies (as if we minded).
Elsewhere, the fun continued with a rambunctious rundown of retro classics from Joe Egg in the back bar as the party assemblage made the most of the warm weather by dragging the proceedings out in the night air. Just in case that wasn’t enough to float our boat, the XXL team even laid on an Easter egg hunt that had us scrambling around the venue trying to dig them out!
