12/03/11: The fur was well and truly flying down at bear super bash, XXL last Saturday. Bursting at the seams with hairy hunks, cheeky chunks and lads who love dads, Southwark’s sexiest blokes’ party was big, bad and bangin’ – just the way we like it! In celebration of St.Patrick’s day and promoter Mark Ames’ birthday, the first 500 through the door were gifted a special limited edition numbered CD, mixed by the birthday boy himself. Nice one. But the real birthday treat was the abundance of beefcake ’n’ beats. Serving up a mighty fine mix of diva house anthems, DJ Alex Logan got the main floor party pumpin’, while in the back bar bear babe Joe Egg cranked it with 80s and 90s club classics. As the night rocked on, the amazing Christian M got the boys in the main room bouncing with a ferocious, funky, uplifting house workout. When it comes to big and ballsy, it doesn’t get much bigger or better than XXL – always sexy, always brilliant, always leaves us hungry for more. GRRRR!
