09/10/11: Things got grizzly as QX Club News checked out the hairy XXL leather bears and cubs at XXL’s fur-fuelled ‘Leather’ bash last weekend.
Attracting a near-capacity crowd on a chill autumn night, we were grateful for all that extra body heat to keep us warm, with a funkin’ throng of hirsute hunks, dazzling dads and cute cubs working up steam amidst the all-action Arcadia arches.
Kicking off with a leathered-up stomp on the main dancefloor, the XXL DJ crew did themselves proud, whipping up a rawhide whirlwind of underground house and commercial floor fillers to keep us all more than satisfied.
Meanwhile, we battled through the throng at the bar to get some much needed refreshments before getting down to the very best in retro-jukebox sounds, courtesy of talented Joe Egg and his back-catalogue of vintage anthems.
Elsewhere, QX spotted the unassuming yet oh-so-sexy Welsh gay rugby player, Gareth Thomas, enjoying the proceedings with his pals on the outside terrace as the party showed no sign of letting up ‘til late. Head back to Arcadia this Saturday when the XXL guys raise the roof yet again with a full-on Full Moon special!
