05/09/15: XXL, for the minority of you who have yet to go, is one of the big boys of the gay London club scene.
The venue, all stone and colossal floor to ceiling distance, actually looks like a place where a mythical beast might be kept. In fact it plays host regularly to a few or more hundred men – last Saturday being no exception, with a little extra space left over to accommodate a set of bass lines bolshy enough to blow your briefs off. Not that it’d be too much of a problem if that had happened…the back room provides shelter and more than enough activity for not only the Bears but those who bare all. Sartorially speaking. Come here for House that intensifies by the hour in the main room and R’n’B, contemporary hits and the classicsof the Disco era in room 2. Hell, if nothing else…come for the sake of coming. Need I XXL-plain myself further?
