Clubs Banner

London has the world's most diverse late night gay scene. Mainly located around its three gay villages - Soho, Shoreditch and Vauxhall - there's a gay nightclub to suit every taste, with music policies ranging from R&B and pop to full-on funky house via more underground, edgier sounds. There are, of course, many one-off and special events that happen around town to keep a look out for. And if it's something more 'adult' that you're after, then there's a whole heap of men-only and fetish special interest clubs out there, too.

Athena: Rip-roaring Eagle Saturdays

18/02/17: Conjuring images of baby-hugging hunks from dark and forgotten recesses of our long-vanished pubescence, Athena is the name given to a brand new monthly Saturday night at the Eagle in Vauxhall.

09/09/16: When we arrived at A:M, the arches of Protocol in Vauxhall were already steadily feeling up with all kinds of hedonistic reprobates willing and ready to dance the night away until possibly the late Saturday morning.

17/06/16: Kicking off the weekend with characteristic panache, A:M last Friday was everybody’s favourite hedonistic hideaway and, despite it being the week before Pride (and indeed payday for most of us) we soon found ourselves squeezing across a packed dance floor and accidentally pressing up against a cute shirtless boy.

13/11/15: Barely a disco-nap away and yet so far removed, A:M, London’s longest running after-hours’ party, opened its doors at Fire as the world still reeled from learning of the terrible attacks on Paris.

03/09/15: “Oh, I always feel at home when I come to The RVT…” sighed Alison Jiear affectionately on stage as she sipped a pint “Not that my home’s full of beautiful gay men, but it’s a lovely thought isn’t it?”
