TRANNYSHACK EAST
18/05/13: Grabbing their stilettoes and sequins, and tucking it under, those gorgeous Trannyshack gals hotfooted it over to the East End on Saturday night to take over one of our favourite clubs this side of the Queen Vic.

11/05/13: It’s that time of the month again already! And we were starving for Dish’s fourth instalment of the year.
27/04/13: Burning bare rubber, we skidded to a stop on our trusty steed (read: banged out old bike) outside East Bloc, embraced our favourite female bouncers to our bountiful bosom and fervently descended to the dark depths of GutterSlut.
13/04/13: Still only fairly early into 2013 and it’s already our third serving of Dish, and we couldn’t wait to see what was on the menu this time.
30/03/13: Celebrating five years of filth and fun, GutterSlut was in the birthday spirit on Saturday night. Yes, the Dalston Gay Mafia have been holding our gender-bending dirty ways to ransom for five years now, forcing us to dance way past our bedtime and unleash our tranny loving, punky-chic alter-egos.
… but none of us are looking at the stars, would say the GutterSlut crew, unless you’ve slipped off the stage and the stars you look up on are the strobing disco lights. GutterSlut is one of the instrumental East London parties that brought together the cool club kids and the glamour trannies with the trashbag queens who’d been around the block and back again, in an atmosphere of fun, frivolity and pretty much anything goes!
23/03/13: Believe it or not, East Bloc has now been keeping the scrubber crowds of east London dancing and partying ‘til the white dawn rises for near on four deep, dirty beat-rocking years.
16/03/13: West End drag scene institution Trannyshack traversed in a carnival-esque citywide romp of glitter, eyeliner and flicking weaves to arrive in a night of mayhem at East End venue du jour, East Bloc, last weekend.
Since East Bloc rocked on to the scene four years ago it’s become one of the hottest spots in East London for the trend-setters, sexsters, rudebois, fashionistas and trannies to stumble in, let loose and dance all night long. Billed as a ‘boutique nightclub’ it may be intimate inside, but you still get one of the most diverse, friendly and up-for-it gay crowds anywhere in the capital; leave your ego at the door because they ain’t got no room for it down on the dance floor!
23/02/13: Roll over Beethoven, the Gutterslut team were back with a bang last Saturday, lighting up the East End with wit, vigour and trannies down at everyone’s favourite rocking Shoreditch basement bunker, East Bloc.
10/02/13: “Putting a cat amongst the pigeons” is what this month’s Deelooded suggested it would do.
19/01/12: Last Saturday saw Jim Warboy’s S.O.S turn a year older, taking it to a cool two years in the fiercely competitive weekend party trade.
12/01/13: Last Saturday was double whammy of sorts - 2013’s first serving of everyone’s favourite Dish’s, and the night’s first birthday!
29/12/12: When one of the East London scene’s most formidable - and feral - nights for years threw its festive bash for 2012, news spread faster than the contents of Santa’s gift-sack; and the boys of the Big Smoke boarded their sleighs, buses or braved the bitter chill on foot to be there.
Every other month, super spinner Kris Di Angelis and his band of Bloc’ rockin’, cock frockin’, dancefloor shockin’ party monsters bring their brand of ice cool clubbage to East Bloc. Merrymaking with military precision, the Shoreditch soldiers are gearing up for a confrontation of house and R&B tuneage this Saturday. We sent Lee Dalloway to shed some light on WAR Blackout…
01/12/12: TheMenWhoFell2Earth roared into the heart of the East-side party district, and slammed straight through the roof of East Bloc with a resounding birthday bump last Saturday!
TheMenWhoFell2Earth deliver a striking music policy, with a cool crowd at one of the hottest gay venues in town. Don’t miss their 2nd birthday this weekend! Cliff Joannou met the duo behind the decks…
24/11/12: Those wayward Gutterslut gays were back in action for a rampant roof-raiser of a Saturday night shindig, as QX Club News checked out the rockin’ rave-down at hipster hangout, East Bloc last weekend.
