Historic London queer haunt goes all out – here’s what’s coming up this Halloween at the RVT
We dive into the gloopy, gorgeous and glamorous goings-on at London’s most historical queer haunt, The Royal Vauxhall Tavern. From a healthy dollop of Lizzo to a tangle of burly bears, there’s a lot to look forward to:
Toil and Trouble Thursday 24th October
Let host Count Addiction take you by the claw down this twisting alleyway of disgusting drag, creepy burlesque and sickening DJs. Raising funds for Stonewall Housing who provide essential services to the community, it’s sure to be glitzy and gag-inducing in equal measure. Performances from Rudy De Vanjee, Belle De Beauvoir and headliner Dis Charge, with Jay Jay Revlon behind the decks.

Push The Button: Lizzoween Friday 25th October
“I just took a DNA test, turns out, I’m 100% that beast.” Brought to the tavern by purveyors of pop, Push the Button, it’s Lizzoween! The name alone should have you grabbing a ticket. Take a sip of this Juice if you dare. Expect tricks, treats, performances, drag queens, ice-pops and haunted sing-a-longs.

DUCKIE Saturday 26th October
Duckie’s flag ship rock ‘n’ roll honky-tonk. Queer heritage, performance art and honky-tonk, every Saturday for over twenty flippin’ years. They’re getting extra Halloweeny this Saturday, so expect more blood, guts and gore than usual. Featuring performance pieces by Harry is Liza and Justin Shoulder.
9pm – 4am. £5 before 10:30pm, £8 after.
The Quizzarding World – Halloween Special Wednesday 30th October
Brought to you by The Lost Diaphragm of Rowena Ravenclaw. A Halloween-special edition of the quiz that’s sure to have you scratching your zig-zag forehead scar. It’s round three this Halloween at the RVT, so the questions are sure to be getting a little harder. Featuring mystical cabaret form Dusty Limits, a cash prize for the winning team and prizes for the best-dressed witch or wizard.

FRIGHTANIC Thursday 31st October
It’s Halloween year-round for Pop Horror, so you can trust them to DELIVER on the day itself. This year they’re getting all naughty and nautical with Frightanic. Hop on board this doomed voyage into the abyss. With performance, games, horror mash-ups and more. Hosted by Dave The Bear with a full cast to be announced.

SPOOK MINCE Friday 1st November
Sooth your Halloween hangover with a belly full of BeefMince. They’re going all-out Spook Mince, serving Scare Bear realness. Resident DJs Silverhook and Cactushead will be taking to the decks to serve some dirty beats, with guest Tareq keeping the party going until 4am. Fancy dress is encouraged, spectacularly if they’re bear-inspired.
