As summer draws to a close in Northern Europe, it’s time to plan our winter gay ski week 2023. QX looks at three stunning locations in North America that will really provide that get away from it all feeling while providing all the fun of a bit of queer après-ski. You’ll be feeling top of the world!

Whistler Pride and Ski Festival – January, Whistler, Canada

Whistler is proud to host the annual Whistler Pride and Ski Festival every January. One of the biggest and best gay and lesbian ski weeks in North America, the LGBTQI pride week features a packed schedule of skiing, snowboarding, parties, arts and culture and social events. Taking place in 2023 from 22-29 January there will be daily Pride and Ski guided group tour opportunities where travellers can meet on the mountain and make new friends. Evening programming includes the Whistler Pride Welcome Reception, a night at Vallea Lumina, Spa-lash at the Scandinave Spa and the Whistler Pride Comedy Night. www.whistler.com

 

Aspen Gay Ski Week – Aspen Snowmass, Colorado

Taking place from 15 – 22 January 2023, Gay Ski Week returns to Aspen Snowmass for its 46th year. Aspen Gay Ski Week is the oldest, annual, week-long gay ski event in the US, where visitors can enjoy four mountains of varied skiing and snowboarding terrain, as well as cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and winter hiking trails in the Elk Mountains. Elevation Mammoth – Mammoth Gay Ski Week 15-19th March, 2023

The Twenty-First Annual Mammoth Gay Ski Week returns to the High Sierras and Mammoth Lakes, California. Their core mission remains the same after 20 years: “2,500 riders. 12 major parties. 0 attitude.” Events include dance parties with incredible DJs, wine tasting dinners, drag shows and ski races, all set to the backdrop of one of the most beautiful mountain towns in the world.
