The UK’s first permanent queer comedy club centering on LGBTQ+ acts and audiences has opened in London.

The Queer Comedy Club is a new space that provides a unique opportunity for queer audiences and their allies to enjoy stand-up comedy that is relevant, relatable, and, most importantly, rib-ticklingly funny, reflecting their lives. It is also a safe and supportive environment where queer comics can cut their comedy teeth.

The Queer Comedy Club is the brainchild of three queer comedians – David Ian, Jeremy Topp, and Kate Dale – who, through their own experiences on the stand-up circuit, recognised the need for a permanent venue for the queer community and their allies. The club will feature established comedians and the best-emerging talent, with new acts and material nights every Monday and Tuesday.

Every week, the Big Thursday Show will feature established comedians and the best emerging talent, with comedians such as Stephen Bailey, Jessica Fostekew, Jen Ives and James Barr already booked to appear. Mondays and Tuesdays see new acts and material nights with QCC Rawfor queer comedians and Not Totally QCC, which also features allies and friends. The club also hosts several one-off events, previews and works in progress.
