The Diana Mixtape is a brand-new musical production by TuckShop’s Christopher D. Clegg, and stars drag royalty Divina De Campo, Courtney Act, Priyanka, Rosé and Kitty Scott-Claus. The show will run at Here @Outernet from 28 July – 10 August 2025. QX had a quick chat with one of the stars of the show, Divina De Campo. We also got to share some lovely new photos by Harry Elletson!
What attracted you to The Diana Mix Tape and the part you play?
I love Diana’s legacy and her FU attitude toward the establishment that tried to control her. The way she used her voice to amplify those in need and draw attention to causes that mattered.
What do you love most about Princess Diana?
Her attitude and then her style. The royals are often constrained by how much they can say and how they can say it. Diana had a way of using clothing to say what she wanted to say.
Run us through the production. What format does the show take?
It’s a conversation between all the five Diana’s, the audience, and all the major characters in the show. It romps through her life with typical British irreverence and humour. Filled with pop bangers and choreography to oil the wheels of this love letter to Ar’ Di.
What’s it like working with the rest of the cast? Do you have any fun bits of behind-the-scenes gossip?
They are joyous! Funny and exactly as you expect…..chaos. Lost laptops, phones, knickers and most of all laughter. I don’t know about them, but I felt instantly at ease with all of them. I’m having so much fun!
What do you think people will enjoy most about the show?
It’s uplifting and celebratory. It’s very much about marking Diana’s impact as a gay icon, and who better to do that than five drag queens?!
What else are you involved with at the moment?
I’m heading back out on tour with Dragged to the Musicals in September and October, which is all over the country with Le Fil, Shania Pain, Mimi Channel, and the amazing Viola! Then I head to Hertford to star in Beauty and the Beast at Beam. I’ll let you decide which one I am!
