DISH

12/05/12: It’s time for us to dish up the dirt and regurgitate the meaty, beefy feast that was Dish at East Bloc last Saturday.

We love to be greedy, and last weekend East Bloc did all the giving. Innuendos aside, you’d think the bloc would be taken for granted by now after delivering some of the steamiest, mind pulsing, bass pumping nights in the capital.

Well, think again, as it seems the boys behind Dish can cook above and beyond all expectations. So what goes into the recipe that’s got us begging for more?

Perhaps it was the generous helping of Borja Pena whose big-room chunky basslines had us hitting the ceiling and following him for seconds. Meanwhile, the backroom was no side plate, especially by the time Jobenet Blonde flaunted behind the decks to play mash-ups of all things pop.

With her energy, she’d have to be the sugary dessert. The red-hot chilli sauce would be flavour favourite, Tom Stephan. He had the main room burning up ‘til 6am with his trademark deep and bouncy set.

It was the perfect compliment to a packed dance floor of hipsters and hunks. Thank heavens they didn’t forget to sprinkle Scott Webster and Kartel Brown into the delicious mix, East Bloc just wouldn’t taste the same.

How I love a man that can cook! Now get back in the kitchen and cook us more – Dish was delish!
