22/10/11: Ratings may be down on last year’s TV show but G-A-Y showed no sign of X Factor fatigue in the slightest as the UK’s biggest talent show took the Heaven arches by storm last Saturday yet again!
Featuring the latest act to make their exit, Nu Vibe, along with 2010 winner, Matt Cardle, QX Club News headed to the West End for a night of knicker-wetting hysteria that had the heaving masses going wild.
With X Factor pals Sophie Habibis and Craig Colton lending support from the audience, Nu Vibe showed off the talent that took them all the way to the live finals, with a dazzling trio of pop smashes, including their version of U2’s ‘With or Without You’.
Alas, it wasn’t enough to keep them in the competition but the boys are still a hit with us! Meanwhile, the most famous former plumber in Essex treated the crowd to a showcase of boy-next-door anthems, with highlights taking in acoustic X Factor staples ‘Hit Me Baby One More Time’ and ‘Mercy’, along with number one debut ‘When We Collide’ and current single ‘Run For Your Life’.
With his album rocketing to number two in the charts, we’re sure there’s plenty more to come from this worthy winner. Check out the screamfest this week with the G-A-Y Halloween Party and the latest artiste voted off the X-Factor, Welsh diva Sami Brookes!
