S.O.S

17/03/12: SOS at East Bloc was choc-a-bloc with a bevy of handsome, boy-next-door faces last Saturday.

The crowd turned up rocking the ‘laidback cool’ in t-shirts, jeans and high-tops; making sure they turned it when the beats peaked on – as we boys do – with some welcome topless-ness too.

A healthy dose of house, tech and acid was the order of the night, with the main room rammed, as ever, well into the rising dawn. Headliner DJ Severino had the emergency signal flashing for the men at mercy of his relentless bass – and his comrades, DJs Warboy, Andy Blake and Tom Davey followed up fast with the attack.

The bad boys from the coveted club night Dupe’s Den held it down in the back room for the audio-addicts, with UK funky, garage and R’n’B. Plus, Scottee and Jonathan Bestley did their bit for lovers of pop, a good Showtune and some tranny mash madness.

Needless to say, with all bases covered, the fun-loving force was firmly with us, and we were reluctant to wave the white flag, even when it was well and truly time to go home!
