The Glory’s Halloween Ball

The Glory’s Halloween Ball

26/10/19: GLORY HALLOWEENJAH! The filthy creatures of East London’s drag mecca took to the stage of Hackney’s historical Empire for a performance that raised the dead. You know, it’s quite impressive to see a drag revue with more wigs than teeth onstage. They pulled out all the stops for a three-hour, relentless, blood-curdling evening of performances. Madonna was strung up, the mummies were performing the locomotion and both Natalie Imbruglia and Jonny Woo’s butthole were “Torn”. With more drag kings and queens than you could shake a witchy finger at, it was one evening that is sure to haunt all those in the environs. The show ran an hour and a half over, so who knows the un-rehearsed madness we missed out on.  When the show finally wrapped up at half-past-oh-my-god-how-many-more-lipsyncs-can-there-be, we were limping and LIVING. We wanted to keep the party going, and luckily it was only just a hop, skip and an Uber over to The Glory.
