21/09/19: XXL saw their biggest crowds of the year on Saturday as London’s gay men turned out in muscled masses for the last night of XXL at their now notorious venue, Pulse. Home to two cavernous dance floors, two bars and a labyrinthine dark room, this was the last night that the superclub would play host to XXL. The high-octane, men-only clubbing experience has been around for almost two decades, and in that time it became one of the biggest and busiest weekly gay parties in Europe. They branched out further afield too, with a monthly event in Birmingham. Although this was their last event at Pulse, it is thought that they’ll return in the near future, at a different venue.
