Egoist is the story of Kosuke, a fashion magazine editor in Tokyo who lost his mother when a child, and Ryuta, a personal trainer and a dedicated son to his single mother. Believing that their love will endure, Ryuta fails to show up for a planned drive one day, and a twist of fate threatens their relationship.
