A young gay American soldier, Kyle, returns home from Afghanistan. Having been injured in an IED blast, he tells his family, friends, and a potential new love it’s only a paper cut. Kyle is prepared to die for his country even when his country tells him daily – in small and large ways – that he is less than others.
