HRRRNK! Day festival klaxon! We love a day festival. It’s like any other festival, but without the waking up freezing in a damp tent the next day. You can just get yourself some drunken chicken nuggets and hop on the train home, woohoo!

Now in its third year, GALA Festival is an effortlessly cool affair which mellifluously melds promising up-and-coming acts with the best in disco and house. They champion cool stuff, adventurous stuff, innovative stuff…no Ed Sheeran here, thank you very much!

This year on Sunday 27th May, they’re at Peckham Rye Park for the first time. If you haven’t been to Peckham before, this is the perfect opportunity. Peckham’s great, it’s at that magical stage where it’s SORT OF been gentrified, but not so much that it’s been ruined by it.

There are some familiar names from the gay scene circuit on the lineup too, including everyone’s fave Sunday night partystarters Horse Meat Disco, as well as joyful disco spinners Honey Dijon, and Gideon, co-founder of Glastonbury’s infamous Block9.

Like any good London day festival, there’ll also be loads of FOOD TRUCKS, selling more sizzling snacks than you can shake an ethically-sourced free trade chicken wing at!

So pull on your high tops and pop down to Peckham, this one’s gonna be a corker!
