06/12/14: Just a matter of days after their giant World AIDS Day Fundraiser, we returned to Ku Bar to help them celebrate their 19th Birthday; oh the tough life of a QX writer (and his liver).
After a reasonably dignified champagne reception, things really got into full swing when Prince Persona took to the decks in the basement pumping out commercial pop and dance. Seeing as we were a little late to the party (tardiness is still trendy, right?), we decided it’d be rude not to kick the night off slamming shots at the bar with host Nieko.
(Before winding up on the dance floor thinking we were Shakira. Fail.) And while our dance moves may have represented a drunken cougar, we were focusing on a different kind of talent. OK, so maybe we’re just a drunken cougar after all.
Fail (again). Still, it wouldn’t be a Saturday night without the sobering cringe the following day. Happy birthday and cheers to another year, Ku!
