Exilio

06/09/14: QX Club News took our cha-cha heels up to North London’s Latin Groove for a torrid night of passion as LGBT Latin dance party Exilio rocked a saucy vicars and tarts party last Saturday.

Featuring dazzling DJ action and Latin lovelies galore, vicars may have been thin on the ground but there were tarts aplenty flocking onto the dancefloor for a relentless soundtrack of salsa, merengue, reggaeton and cumbia, as well as Latin-fuelled house and commercial beats that had luscious lads and gorgeous girls dancing dos-a-dos and executing expert cucarachas into the small hours.

Highlights included Exilio doyenne, promoter and DJ Gloria, presiding over the Mambo madness on the floor as trannies took on hot-stepping hombres and sexy señoritas for a bachata blowout raising the roof on the Archway venue.

Meanwhile, there was no end of tropical capers at the bar with socialising and tequilas as London’s longest-running Latino dance bash rocked the party through ‘til steamily late. Exilio returns on 27th September for an action-packed 18th birthday event.
