Dalston Superstore presents: ‘Orlando, With Love: Pulse Victims Fundraiser’

DSS’ Jacob Aria gives us the lowdown on next Tuesday’s fundraiser for the Pulse Massacre.

Our hearts have been shattered by the horrific act of violence committed against the LGBTIQA+ & Latinx community in Orlando, but as always, we band together with strength and love.

On Tuesday June 28th we come together at Dalston Superstore to celebrate the strength and diversity of our community and raise funds to support the victims and families affected by the Pulse shooting.

Beginning with spoken word and reflections from Latinx members of our community, our party will be a cosmic journey of all things queer. Expect to see outrageous bar-top performances from Lasana Shabazz, Phoenix Fagbutt and more. Horse Meat Disco’s Luke Howard will be spinning Brazilian-flavoured disco delights alongside our very own Dan Beaumont in the basement.

Upstairs, DJ Nando & DJ É Maurizio will pump the Salsa, Bachata, Marengue madness, Ni-Kü will be giving us ballroom feels, with Goldsnap’s trademark lady-for-lady RnB, Hip-Hop and Garage bringing the sweat. Mix that up with a dash of Sorry Not Sorry’s guilt-free pop mayhem, Dalston Superstore resident DJs and the inimitable Shay Shay as our host for the evening and you have yourself a crazy-special party.

We’re here, we’re queer, and we will not live in fear. We will be celebrating our campness, our queerness, and our refusal to let anyone else define who we are. We will never stop kissing, because love will save the day.

From East London to Orlando, With Love.
