Scottee’s Camp NYE

Every year, disruptive cabaret concept and QX fave Scottee, descends debaucherously on London’s hapless damp cobbled streets, for an unapologetically mad New Year’s Eve celebration.

Think it’s gonna be conventional confetti and conformist comedy? THINK AGAIN. This is for people who THINK, people who FEEL, people who LOVE. You might come out with a different outlook on life. You might come out with a new set of sociopolitical values. Or you might just come out covered in jam.

Scottee’s New Years bashes have become notorious. They’ve seen all sorts of nefarious sights, from Lauren Harries doing the conga, to Black Lace doing the conga, to Margarita Pracatan doing the conga (then almost falling off stage).

This year, it’s all about tributes! To the many icons who succumbed to the icy grips of 2016’s gnarled, spidery fingers. Very funny and mildly asthmatic, Jayde Adams will be playing Victoria Wood. Fancy Chance will be Prince. With Ginger Johnson as Paul Daniels, Thom Shaw as David Bowie, and Scottee himself as Ronnie Corbett.

They also asked us to emphasise that they’ll certainly be honouring Pete Burns, they’re just not sure how yet. We’re really hoping it involves cigarettes and fur coats.

• Scottee’s Camp NYE is on Saturday 31st December at The Eagle, 349 Kennington Lane, SE11 5QY. 10pm – 4am.
