PLAYING UP!

Brighton Pride is set to have its most spectacular year ever with a main stage line-up that will impress even the most critical pop pundits! Programming director Dulcie Danger delivers her guide to a sensational smorgasbord of pitch-perfect performers…

Already confirmed for a completely unique DJ appearance on the main stage is the wonderfully quirky Paloma Faith! Pride’s programming director Dulcie Danger told QX, “I’m delighted to be able to announce Paloma’s appearance this early in the planning stages, she will be doing a DJ appearance unlike anything you’ve seen before.”

There are few more iconic stars or recognisable voices than Alison Moyet who is also going to be appearing live on Pride’s main stage.

“Alison Moyet is a true Icon and a hero to many LGBT people,” said Dulcie. “We are so excited to be able to confirm such an amazing legend for Pride 2013. We will be announcing even more thrilling acts in the run up to what is already looking to be the best Brighton Pride ever!”

Also appearing exclusively on Brighton Pride’s main stage are MKS the original line-up of the Sugababes. Mutya, Keisha and Siobahn have reformed the original line-up and are performing under the name ‘MKS’ with brand new material being written for them by none other than Emeli Sande. This is one of the most anticipated reunions in years.

“MKS will be performing some new material as well as some of The Sugababes biggest hits live on our fabulous main stage,” enthuses Dulcie Danger who added, “I can’t tell you how excited we are about it, they are truly an iconic pop act and are going to make a huge impact on the day.”

Popular girl group Stooshe are also joining the line up who’s single ‘Black Heart’ was one of the largest selling and airplay records of 2012.

Multi BRIT award winner Ms Dynamite is also joining the main stage performing her signature sound of R&B, grime and UK garage. “I’ve seen this lady perform and she’s guaranteed to make the crowd go wild,” Dulcie enthuses.

Pride wouldn’t be complete without some boyband action and so far on the line-up in this category they have BGT’s The Mend and up and coming boyband Class A.

They will all be joining other main stage artists such as Lindy Layton, Stacey Jackson and disco legend Hazel Dean for a day to remember.

In the Women’s Performance Tent they are upping the ante by adding headliners for this area with fantastic performances from X-Factor’s Lucy Spraggan.

Dulcie Danger added “We are thrilled with the line-up that has been organised  so far for this year’s Pride, and with so many other major acts to announce anyone who takes advantage of the £12.50 early-bird ticket offer this year is getting themselves a serious bargain!”

At that price and for such a stunning line-up of performers, the simple question remains, why wouldn’t you go?
