Are you keeping up with it all?

Our brains are being bombarded with heaps of new information – the world is falling to bits, plastic is choking the ocean and there’s hurricanes/storms/global warming going on everywhere, and that’s only the tip of the iceberg; if there’s any left as they too seem to be melting into the sea.

Back on land, we’re still left wondering if our recycling actually does get recycled or ends up in a landfill somewhere…plastic straws or paper? The quandaries of the modern age whilst propping up a bar!!!

The Drag King scene is flourishing at BOiBOX – Splendid this Thursday at The Glory, where an evening of cabaret is planned. Adam All and Apple Derrieres introduce the stars of the scene including Don One, Monsieur Cookie, Mr Party and Sammy Silver. Showtime 7:00pm – 10:30pm.

A new free publication is about to get off the ground and they’re having some fundraisers to get started…Lesley Magazine Fundraiser on Friday at SET, 27a Dalston Lane is a party with a point.  Aimed at LGBTQIA+ womxn, trans and non-binary community and friends. Expect live bands, performance and DJs. 7pm – 2am.

Back with a bang, it’s Clash Bash no.11 Colour Block Party! The original club night based on fashion clashion colour schemes. Join the gang of colour blockers who dance, DJ and perform – High Waisted (dance troupe starring ShayShay, Mahatma Khandi and Sophie Brain), Chiyo and Radam. With DJs El Tuma, Sippin’T, Mwen, Shiv and Chaka Khan’t. Friday 26th at Dalston Superstore, 9pm – 3am.

Hackney Road dive, the basement of The Queen Adelaide to be precise showcases the alternative nights of London. On Friday 26th Synthia: JLo 50 celebrates a kitsch and camp night based around said JLo and her mate feat. Pitbull! 10pm-3am, hosted by Thomas Dutton!!!

Start your Saturday night with Theresa May’s Legs Akimbo: The Leaving Do at The Glory on Saturday 27th July. Fagulous channels their fave character and insightfully relay’s the outrageous story of political intrigue in cabaret form! 7pm till 10:30pm.

Oh did you know it’s Walthamstow Pride? At Mints Vol. 017: Walthamstow Pride Edition at William The Fourth, 816 High Road, Leyton, E10 on Saturday 27th Mints are having an after party in celebration from 9pm till 2am. Free entry, DJ’s and dancing!

Did I mention Meat at Dalston Superstore? It’s on Saturday 27th starring a tip top DJ line up… Dance Armstrong, Mista Maker, Tafkanik, Nic Fischer, Mikki Most and The Cosmic Whores. OMG!!! Plus gogo dancers galore!!! 10pm till 3am.

Over at the Eagle, it’s the monthly outing for SOS Soul on Saturday on Saturday 27th July. Roy Inc hosts the gorj grooves of DJ’s Terry T-Rex and Conor Lynch from 9pm till 4am.

I’m ending my weekend at The Glory as usual on Sunday 28th July with Princess Julia Loves…My special guest is drag star Keela Kraving. From 7pm I’ll be playing tunage and drinking cocktails at my fave local!
