SlayStation is to host its biggest event at the Clapham Grand. They will be celebrating Pokémon and other monster catchers with a drag show starring Kim Chi from RuPaul’s Drag Race season 8 and Dakota Schiffer from the recent RuPaul’s Drag Race UK season 4.

The show is for one night and will feature themed performances, games, and an audience costume prize. Attendees are also encouraged to bring their games and cards to trade with each other.

Velvet, creator and producer of SlayStation and one of the show’s hosts, told QX, “As a trans woman, gaming helped me express my identity and have agency over who I am.”

SlayStation is the only regular cabaret, gaming show, and club night in the world, providing audience members with new themes and entertainment each month. They have been heavily lauded for their inclusive casting, original ideas, and community approach to their events.

Produced solely by a trans woman with an entirely trans technical team, SlayStation is proud to be at the forefront of LGBT+ events. Their costume contests are hugely popular and garnered much social media attention. In particular, SlayStation features award-winning cabaret and drag artists, plus audience games and interaction not found at similar events.

SlayStation: The Master Ball is at Clapham Grand at 6 pm, 21 January 2023, 21-25 Saint John’s Hill, London SW11 1TT
