JR’s Mixtape

Jul 10 @ 7:00 pm9:45 pm
£12
JR´s Mixtape at The two Brewers in Clapham, London.

This is the first edition of JR’s Mixtape and is hosted by Britain’s Got Talent star Jonathan Rippon (“JR”), queer stand-up and singer/songwriter based in London.

Specially curated to bring together genres that normally stand alone, the show will kick off with a set from BBC New Comedian of the Year shortlisted comic, Fab Goualin. Fab is a London-based DJ/producer turned stand-up comedian and writer of French and Nigerian descent. A self-professed storyteller, his mixture of nationality-based observations and witty anecdotes offers a fresh perspective on cultural differences, drawing humour from his unique experiences and background.

Next up is Clapham drag legend, Queera Lynn. Queera is Britain’s only wartime drag queen; a cabaret performer and a Forces’ Sweetheart celebrated for her historical (and hysterical) drag persona. Blending comedy, singing and vintage glamour, her performances are inspired by icons like Vera Lynn, Marlene Dietrich, and Edith Piaf.

And the headliner for JR’s Mixtape is none other than noughties legend, pop music icon and West End superstar, Diana Vickers. The high priestess of UK pop reached the finals of The X Factor in 2008 and had a number one album ‘Songs From The Tainted Cherry Tree’ featuring the number one single, ‘Once’. Diana made a pop comeback in 2023 and played the role of Gwyneth Paltrow in the West End production of ‘I Wish You Well’ following a sell-out Edinburgh Fringe run.

Tickets also available with Meet and Greet option.
