#JULIASAYS…

I remember when I went to my first club. I thought it was vast and exciting! I never thought I’d have a career in clubs, but there was something about the escapism that lured me in, I was hooked! I’ve made friends and memories in clubs and bars over the years and I still find myself lured back in! ‘When are you going to settle down?’ I’ve often been asked, well you know what, I am settled down. Whether you work in clubs or go to clubs, there’s such a sense of community that it’s a lifestyle I’m proud to be part of!

Let’s start this weekend with a visit to BoiBOX over in Camden’s Her Upstairs on Thursday 17th November. It’s the night where girls are boys mingle, with fun turns at this newly instated cabaret bar above The Bloc. Hosted by Adam All, shows from 8.30pm, and it’s free to get in!

Down Hackney Road, things are happening at The Queen Adelaide where there’s a pub upstairs and a late night dive down below. On Friday 18th Miserable Bitch, that’s Ma Butcher and Lazy Susan, will be spreading their drag joy to the patrons of the house in their own inimitable way until 3am!

Fringe! Queer Film & Arts Fest is back with a series of events and parties. First up something a bit arty – Death Drive explores our fascination with living life on the edge, with film and performance installation work from artists at the Hackney Showroom from 9.30pm, with an after party on Friday 18th. Next on their program a screening of film Kiki over at the Barbican Centre on Saturday 19th at 6.15pm followed by a screen talk with Twiggy Piccy Garcon. After which The Ab Fab Vogue Ball 2016. fringefilmfest.com

Don’t forget everyone, Savage is the late night place you all want to end up at on a Saturday night! I’ll be DJing on Saturday 19th in the basement with my partner in crime Louie Banks until 5am! Recovering on Sunday 20th at The Glory I’ll be back on the decks for Princess Julia Loves… with the simply fabulous ShayShay doing a star turn. 7-11pm, free in!
