Winterville is Coming!

Take in the lights and sights at South London’s festive extravaganza

If you’ve got a spare minute, let’s have a quick audit on winter. Bad things: the temperature, the lack of sunlight, John Lewis adverts. Good things: big coats, eating whatever you please, Mariah. Oh, and WINTERVILLE, the alternative festive festival coming to Clapham later this month!

We know what you’re thinking. “Why’s it called Winterville? You can’t even call it Christmas anymore, blue passports…”, but it’s not just about Christmas. In fact, it’s barely about Christmas. It’s more about turning off Blue Planet 2, getting out of your poorly-insulated flat, and getting on the Northern Line down to Clapham to celebrate everything WINTERY.

The pop-up town will have everything from an ice rink, a cosy backyard cinema, an indoor golf course, a fairground, and more street food traders than you can shake a slice of sourdough pizza at! But it all really comes to life at night with some of London’s craziest queer club nights taking over the Spiegeltent, including the drag crew of Little Gay Brother, the gloriously madcap Mariah and Friendz, and the seemingly unstoppable Sink the Pink!

It runs from 23rd November to 1st January, and tickets and full listings can be found at winterville.co.uk!
