Just to reiterate dears, I always try to bring you a slice of alternative gay London in this column.

It’s always being debated as to whether there are really any underground scenes going in London anymore and I’m here to tell you there are!

Yes, even karaoke can be cool. Frenemies! Love/hate Karoke on Thursday 13th June stars host Rhys Cook, who will be encouraging you to take to the mic and sing the songs you love the most. Starts at 8pm goes on till 2.30am!

And then tonight’s the night you can work that Dalston strip, because Happy Endings: Power Suits is on at Dalston Superstore on 13th June too. DJ action from all the residents Salvador Gnarly and Sister Sludge on the bar and Ornography, Fannar and Adreim Atup. Special live gust Hexboyfriend with hosts Lasagna & CeceTeeVee. 9pm till 2.30.

It’s show time at The Glory on Friday 14th June when ShayShay’s Good Judy comes to town. This year marks 50 years since Judy left the building here in London so ShayShay is paying tribute friends of Dorothy plus the marv Margo Marshall makes a guest appearance as Liza Mininelli! Follow the yellow brick road straight to The Glory basement 7pm till 10pm. Then stay on for a dose of TROUBLE this Friday with BARBS! and DJs Jacob Aria and Jon Arnold, on till 2am!

Freak fans get ur freak on at MØNSTER QUEEN// THE ANNIVERSARY I at Cell 200 up in Kings Cross. Majorness looks and music… Andi Harriman, Dahc Dermur, Jonny Slut, Jon Coco and Parma Ham playing the music. Performance from Salvia and Charity Kase. OMG they’re even having a runway fetish fash show created by Alex Spat. Then let us talk hosts… Aaron O’Connor & Lais Pattak, Mynxie, Emily After and Rodent!  Saturday 15th June, 10pm – 6am.

The brunch phenomenon continues apace and ShayShay’s Burning Brunch camps it up with a festival theme at Dalston Superstore on Sunday June 16th. Enjoy some artisanal sustenance and thought-provoking entertainment, midday – 4pm. *It’s worth remembering that every Sunday at DSS there’s a brunch spectacular!

Another regular night is mine ha ha! This week Princess Julia Loves with special guest ‘leg end diary’ Russella who is spending the evening with us at The Glory. A chance to see Russella perform her pancake making routine which of course is majorrrrr! 7pm-11pm.

Okay I know this column isn’t all about me but just mentioning on the quiz front that every Tuesday I host Carry On Quizzing at the Retro Bar! So come down on Tuesday 18th, 8pm for an 8.30 start. But let me tell you my quizzing hero is Mr Teds who is ruling with their quizzing techniques!!!! Catch Mr Teds at The Cock Tavern on Kennington Road every Sunday from 7pm!
