29/10/16: In addition to the usual groups of friends on a crawl and the cute canoodling couples on a date, the twinkling fairly lights of the Yard had attracted an unusual bunch of shady characters this Saturday.

Members of The Addams Family, depraved nuns and zombie nurses, to name but a few, had crept out of the darkness to revel in early celebrations of Halloween.

In an effort to make what is always a terrific night into a terrifying one, even the lovely bar staff had been turned into a creepy assortment of white-faced freaks for the occasion.

The whole weekend had been dubbed Mystery at The Yard and offered “fancy-dress shindigs, blood-curdling burlesque and deadly music nights” in honour of all things spooky and weird. What can we say: it was a scream!
